Clip From Ep #335 Of The Clay Edwards Show On 103.9 WYAB
A post recently went viral of a Mac Haik Chevrolet store in Houston charging someone $90,000 over MSRP for a new Chevrolet Corvette. I was making the point that our local dealerships don't use those same business practices here in central Mississippi, but I personally don't have a problem with charging someone whatever they're willing to pay. Its called MSRP which stands for "Manufacturers SUGGESTED Retail Price" NOT "Manufacturers SET Retail Price". We don't get to call ourselves capitalist then get butt hurt when someone is profiting what someone else is willing to pay. Hell, most of the Corvette buyers are just flipping the vehicles onto the used car market to make that same $90,000 mark up and are just mad the dealership is the one doing it to them. We're talking about a Corvette, not bottled water, generators or gasoline after a natural disaster
