MY 800TH FULL EPISODE OF THE CLAY EDWARDS SHOW (07/24/24)

We've made it to the 800th episode of the Clay Edwards Show on 103.9 WYAB, I mixed things up a little today and took a couple of segments in the first hour to give my testimony about how I went from burned out car salesman to hosting the #1 morning talk show in Mississippi. Today's show was all about local stories for the first time this month, figured it was a good time to take it back to it's roots to celebrate the 800th episode.
1- A brand new F'd around and found out grand champion was crowned in Brandon Monday by the Rankin County Sheriff's Dept. after an idiot decided to ride through there with 44 lbs of meth sitting on his back seat.
2- I give my professional testimony about going from burned out car salesman to host of the #1 talk show in Mississippi in just 3.5 years.
3- Former JPD top cop Anthony Fox settles his false conviction and imprisonment lawsuit with the state of Mississippi after spending 1.5 years in jail for a a false manslaughter conviction.
4- We spent the last couple of segments discussing why good, law abiding citizens in Jackson, Mississippi and all of Hinds County for that matter are scared to defend themselves with their firearm. Some of them even say they would rather have the bad guy just kill them instead of possibly going to prison for defending themselves. If that doesn't let you know the system is broken then I don't know what else will.

- Elon Musk & Dr. Jordan Peterson did a sit down podcast where Elon explains why he has set out to destroy the woke mind virus after Doctors tricked him into putting his son on hormone blockers a few years ago. Somehow or another this segment also included us discussing "Social Justice Yoga for kids" being taught in Mississippi public schools.

Hour #2 - Lindsey Beckham returns for the full hour to also discuss a bunch of different hot topics.
-The Joe Biden phone call into the Kamala Harris rally appears to be 100% A.I. generated, this adds fuel to the fire for the "proof of life" crowd (myself included). We also took a great call from Scott at the end of this segment.

WHY DO JACKSONIAN'S LOVE KILLING EACH OTHER AT GAS STATIONS?

Over the weekend there were 2 gas station shooting, leaving 1 man dead at the Texaco on Medgar Evers BLVD then on Sunday at the Shell station (formerly JR. Food Mart) for all my old school south Jackson folks, a mass shooting took place that left 2 people dead and another 3 injured. That means 3 killed and 32 injured in just 2 shootings in 2 days. I believe that by the time the WLBT homicide tracker gets properly updated the number will be 73-74 homicides in 2024.
