BREAKING NEWS - ANTHONY OFFICIALLY RELEASED FROM JAIL (02/07/24)
Wednesday Feb 07, 2024
Wednesday Feb 07, 2024
From WLBT
On Wednesday, Fox walked out of the Madison County Jail, surrounded by friends and family, just a week after his 2022 manslaughter conviction was overturned.
His release also comes just hours after the same Mississippi Court of Appeals granted a motion to waive the 21-day waiting period before its order reversing the conviction went into effect.
Typically, individuals who have their convictions overturned must wait 21 days before their release to give opponents a chance to appeal.
Because the verdict was rendered by the Appeals Court, only the Mississippi Attorney General could appeal, and she did not.
Not only is Fox a free man, but he also has a job.
On Tuesday, the Clinton Board of Aldermen approved Chief Ford Hayman’s request to re-hire Fox. He will return to work as a K9 narcotics detective.
“This is truly a blessing for Fox to be back where he belongs,” Hayman said in a news release. “Our city and our community are safer with Anthony Fox at work. I am happy that he will be returning to our detective squad.”

ST. PADDY'S PARADE DOUBLE HOMICIDE SUSPECTS BOND REVOKED (02/06/24)

Tuesday Feb 06, 2024
JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - More than six months after he was released on bond, the man indicted for killing two people near Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade is back behind bars for violating the terms of that agreement with the court. Hinds County Circuit Judge Faye Peterson revoked bond for Jordan Cummins after testimony from two witnesses and evidence filed with the state showed him repeatedly spending time at the home of Jenny Lukens, a co-defendant in the case. A grand jury indicted Cummins last year on two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Joshua Spann and Auden Jubilee Simpkins, and also indicted Lukens for one count of hindering prosecution. The shooting took place a few blocks from the parade route for the Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade in downtown Jackson back in March of last year. Cummins drove away after the shootings and was captured a short time later by Capitol Police. Though his bond was initially denied because of a cellphone video that emerged of Cummins justifying the shooting, Peterson granted him a $250,000 secured bond in July. That bond contained strict orders that required him to remain within the confines of his mother’s home from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and have no contact with Lukens or the victims’ families. One witness told the court that she saw Cummins and Lukens together often, at least twice a week. Another witness, who served as a private investigator hired to monitor Cummins’ movements, said he violated the terms of his curfew almost constantly from late December to late January. Peterson took particular issue with the fact that Cummins did not change his behavior even after the state filed a motion to revoke bond with evidence that Cummins had been essentially living with Lukens during that time.

KYLE FOLSE INTERVIEW - SON WAS VICTIM OF BRANDON BRAWL
Today's entire episode was dedicated to discussing the fallout of the viral brawl that happened at Shiloh park in Brandon, Mississippi over the weekend. Like a plot ripped directly from the Karate Kid movie, a new kid was picked up by some girls and lured to a park where a group of guys were waiting for him. What happened then was a 5 on 1 fight that has a town torn down the middle about who was right & who was wrong. I read some of the message from the parents of some of the 5 and then interview the father (Kyle Folse) of the victim.
